    A company is allowed to change its registered office address from one location to another in the same city for any number of reasons by passing a Board Resolution and General Meeting Resolution along with filing for address change with the Registrar of Companies.

    The company is required to have the new address for changing the registered office upon proposal and filing. The address does not necessarily have to be a commercial area; it can include the residential address of one of the promoters, or any other address of recognition.     Procedure

    Identify the new address for Company

    Convene Board Meeting to pass the resolution approving change of name and to hold a General Meeting to get the shareholders approval

    Hold a General Meeting

    Record the minutes of the meeting and get the documents vetted by a CS, CA or CWA.

    File a copy of the Resolutions and Form INC 22 with the ROC within 30 days of such changes.
